After years of hard work, I am excited to announce the exact date that the CUSD Board will be voting on solar procurement. On Wednesday, December 6th, feasibility analyst Russell Driver will be recommending a solar vendor, and the Board will vote on making a contract with this vendor. The CUSD Solar Students will be delivering a presentation at this meeting!
If you are interested in supporting the CUSD Solar Students in their final presentation before solar procurement, please come (and bring some friends!) to the Board meeting on Wednesday, December 6th, 2017. The address is 33122 Valle Rd San Juan Capistrano 92675, and the meeting begins at 7:00pm.
As was said at the November 8th Board meeting, there were 13 RFPs (bids from different solar vendors) offering options for the school district. This is an incredibly high number of bids--the highest number the feasibility analyst, Russell Driver, has seen in his experience. It is a tremendous sign for CUSD!
After years of hard work, the CUSD Solar Students are thrilled that the District is so close to attaining the financial, educational, and environmental benefits solar will provide. CUSD's education has given these students the tools to communicate clearly, analyze data appropriately, and become responsible citizens in their community. Now, the students are thrilled to be applying these skills in order to give back to CUSD.
See you on December 6th!
